Dutch Courage Graffix is the name of the freelance illustration and graphic design studio of Ger Peters. 'Ger' is the Dutch equivalent of 'Gary'. It is a one man operation.
If you would like to commission me to do custom artwork or if you would like to gain permission to use designs for your own purposes from either this web site or from my business website (www.DutchCourageGraffix.com), please read on.
Commissions are welcome! Just send me an e-mail message with a clear description (briefing) of what you are looking for and how you intend to use the artwork. Most finished art is in digital format only. If you expect anything else, please state that explicitly.
All serious requests will be considered. If I think I will able to come up with a design that will meet with your approval, I will usually do a preliminary sketch. This sketch is scanned into the computer and is e-mailed to you along with a price quotation for producing the final artwork.
If you accept my quotation, we'll take the initial sketch and kick it back and forth a couple of times and make modifications until we're both completely happy with the outcome. The agreed-upon design is now considered 'final'. This means that if you want (major) design changes after this, you will be charged extra.
If the amount of time and/or money involved in your commission is substantial and if I have never worked for you before, I might now ask of you to pay me a 50 percent deposit up front. Remember that I have put in a considerable amount of time and effort into the project at this point already. I accept PayPal and transfers into my bank account or any other payment method you can come up with.
I will then start work on producing the actual artwork. Typically, I will contact you a couple of times along the way with one question or another. After finishing the artwork, I might send you a low-resolution version first. You can now pay the (rest of the) amount. After receiving your full payment, I will let you have the high-resolution version of the design.
Established clients or repeat-customers normally receive an invoice along with the final design, as is customary in this line of business. All artwork on www.dutchcouragegraffix.com and on www.lowbrow-art.nl is protected by international copyright laws. If you're interested in using specific designs, you have to gain permission first.
For commercial purposes of reproduction, please e-mail me in order to work out some kind of licensing and/or royalty agreement. Non-profit organizations will generally be granted permission free of charge provided that they represent policies I support. Publishers and other commercial purposes will be charged standard fees.
